Abstract

This study investigates the psychological challenges experienced by children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), intellectual disabilities, and sensory processing disorders. These children often face significant emotional and behavioral difficulties, including heightened anxiety, depression, aggression, and self-harm, which are exacerbated by communication difficulties, negative family environments, and insufficient educational support. Research emphasizes the importance of positive family dynamics and inclusive educational practices in mitigating these issues. Therapeutic interventions, particularly Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), have been shown to effectively address anxiety and depression when customized to the unique needs of these children. Social support from family, peers, and educators also plays a crucial role in improving emotional well-being. The study highlights the necessity of personalized interventions, including family therapy, inclusive educational approaches, and robust social support systems. Technological innovations, such as virtual reality and digital therapeutic tools, show promise in improving psychological outcomes for this population. The findings advocate for a comprehensive, integrated approach that combines therapeutic, educational, and social support strategies to address the psychological imbalances of special children. Ongoing research is crucial to refine and expand these interventions, enhancing the mental health and quality of life for this vulnerable group.
